Enshrouded Wake of the Water update

Wake of the Water has arrived, and Embervale feels different the moment you log in. Water is now part of the world rather than set dressing, with ponds in early zones and vast lakes where the land runs higher. You can swim and dive straight away, keep an eye on your oxygen and poke around the lakebed for chests, ores, and the odd surprise. Bring some water back to your base, build a moat or irrigation, or build right on top of a pond with a glass floor.

Veilwater Basin beaches, ruins and underwater caverns

There is a new place to explore as well. Veilwater Basin sits between Blackmire and the Albaneve Summits, warm and bright on the surface and much darker below. The shores are dotted with forgotten temples and half-sunken ruins. The Drak patrol the treeline and the channels. Work your way through, and you will meet new survivors, unlock fresh recipes and seedlings, and add a few more skill points to your build.

Builders have plenty to do. New tools let you add, move and tidy water so bases feel designed rather than flooded. The rake now adjusts cleanly, so trenches and irrigation lines are straightforward to place and the waterwheel can be used to power your base! Signs can be edited for proper labelling and crafting outputs feel more consistent across the board, which helps when you are stocking up for a long session.

Building with water; gates, wheels and irrigation

Fishing has arrived! Craft a basic rod, chat to the huntress and a new angler in the Basin for better kit, then watch for ripples that hint at richer spots. It feeds into cooking and a few handy crafts and gives a calm loop after a rough dungeon run.

Progression moves on. The cap climbs to 45 and gear steps into a new tier. Greatswords join the armoury with their own perks and skills, so heavier melee builds now have a proper home. Treasure chests have been reworked so silver and gold feel worth hunting. If luck refuses to play along, lore weapons you have unlocked can be crafted at each tier to bridge any gaps as you grind for loot.

Greatsword combat and new skills

Weapons last longer, regeneration is pulled back a touch, and more items now offer regen so you can build around it if that is your style. Wands and wards recover mana on their own, which smooths out caster play. Targeting is cleaner, enemies can open doors, and the grappling hook helps underwater. When you return to a world, you can now carry on from your last save point too, which suits longer Hollow Hall routes.

New Enshrouded Server tools and safety features help keep worlds in good shape. Admins can tag servers for discovery and manage bans that stick between sessions. A Visitor role protects the open world outside bases and flame altars can clear accidental floods. Altars also create small oxygen bubbles which make respawns and teleports safe if you decide to live under a lake.
