Windrose is a survival adventure set in an alternative Age of Piracy. It follows the classic build, craft and survive formula, with combat and exploration on land and sea.
You play as a captain who dares to challenge Blackbeard. What starts as a story of survival and revenge grows into a larger conflict between empires, pirate clans and dark powers on the horizon.
Explore procedurally generated biomes filled with hidden mysteries, hand-crafted dungeons and quests. Move between ship and shore, fight naval battles, board enemy ships and keep pushing forward for treasure, gear and bosses.
Gather resources, build to your own taste, and establish anything from simple shelters to larger forts and mansions. You can also recruit NPCs and grow your settlement to speed up harvesting and production.
Combat includes melee weapons and firearms, with sabers, rapiers, halberds, greatswords, pistols and muskets all part of the journey. Talents, armour sets, food and potions give you more ways to shape your build as you take on tougher enemies and bosses.
Windrose is playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. On our hosting your world stays online independently of one player's machine, with full access to saves, settings and backups from the control panel.

Yes. That is one of the main reasons to use a dedicated server. Your world stays online independently of your own PC, so other players can keep building and progressing even when you are away.
Yes. You can upload your existing save files using FTP or the file manager, then start the server and continue from that world instead of beginning again from scratch.
Take a backup before updates or major changes from the control panel. If something breaks or a world becomes corrupted, you can restore the previous backup and restart the server.
A dedicated server keeps the world persistent, reduces the need for one player to host locally, and is better suited to groups building larger settlements over time.
