When will Hytale servers be available?

Hytale Early Access is availabl right now on Windows PC. We are offering Hytale server hosting! So you can order a server and get it online in a few clicks.

How many players can join my Hytale world?

You buy the server based on how much RAM you need to use, this changes based on how many players you want to join. We have suggested player amounts on each package, but in general you want about 0.75-1GB of RAM per player. If things grow faster than expected, you can upgrade later without losing your world.

Will my Hytale server support mods and custom content?

Modding is a key part of Hytale and the game is being built with mods in mind. Once server tools and mod support are available, you will be able to upload mods and custom content to your Hytale server. As the mod scene grows, we plan to add one click installs and guides to help you get set up quickly.

Can I change settings or wipe the world later on?

Yes. You will be able to change Hytale server settings, adjust difficulty, tweak rates and more from the control panel. If you want a fresh start for a new season, you can generate a new world, keep a backup of the old one, and swap back any time.

How do I protect my Hytale world and progress?

Automatic backups are included and you can also create manual backups before updates or big config changes. If anything goes wrong, restoring a previous backup only takes a few clicks.

What is the update process for Hytale servers?

When a patch or hotfix comes out, you will be able to update your Hytale server from the control panel. We recommend taking a backup first and planning a short restart window so players know when the server will be offline.

Can I move a local Hytale world to my server?

If Hytale supports copying worlds between single player and dedicated servers, we will provide guides and can help you move your world across. Open a ticket and we will walk you through the steps and let you know what is possible once the tools are available.

What CPU and hardware do you use for Hytale servers?

We use high performance Intel and AMD processors, with most locations using AMD Ryzen/EPYC processors. We also use NVME SSD storage for fast performance and reliability.

What is Hytale?

Hytale is a sandbox adventure game about exploring blocky worlds, tackling dungeons, and building whatever you can dream up with your friends on your very own Hytale server.

You'll explore procedurally generated zones and biomes, each with their own creatures, structures, and secrets to discover. Follow the main adventure, go hunting for loot, or ignore all of that and focus on building. You choose your own adventure with Hytale, every playthrough you do is completely different, well, unless you play exactly the same!

There is a mix of RPG-style progression and classic sandbox freedom in Hytale. Gear up, fight hostile mobs, complete objectives, or slow things right down and spend your time farming, decorating, and making your base feel like home. You can play solo, jump in with a small group of friends, or run a larger community using our Hytale server rentals.

Hytale is also very much a long-term project. The team fully owns the game and is taking their time with early access, focusing on getting the core experience playable and polished rather than rushing to a full release. A big part of early access is putting the custom engine and modding tools through their paces, as almost everything is moddable and very little is hard-coded, so player feedback, bug reports, and crazy mod ideas are all a key part of shaping what Hytale becomes over time.
