Starting as a precautionary notice, the game will be in early access for a long time. While the game is entirely owned by the team, and has no investments from any outside sources, it will be a committed long-term investment by both the developers and players. The importance of reporting bugs and sending feedback will be massive in this early state of the game, as they are more focused on making it playable rather than finishing it.
Modding the game will be a significant portion of it. The modding experience is streamlined to be as easy and flexible as possible, allowing you to create almost anything you want in the game. Built on a custom engine, pretty much everything is modifiable and nothing is hard-coded. The team behind Hytale wishes for the players to make as many mods as possible to fully test their engine and its capabilities.
The recent re-acquisition has allowed them to make as many development sneak peeks as they wish, which means they've been ramping up their showcasing of the content within the early access version of the game. They have also shown a release date for it, which is 13th January 2026. We'll be offering dedicated servers for the game the moment the server files are released!
