What a fantastic year 2023 was, loads happened, lots of good games got added to our platform, and we hope 2024 is even better. If you think we did a lot in 2023, just you wait!
We moved into a new Chicago datacentre last year, which is giving us lower latency and so much room for expansion. We also expanded peering on more exchanges in various locations such as joining LINX and STHIX, lowering latency to load more ISPs, giving you all better ping.
Over in the UK, we pushed our Telehouse North presence and upgraded Maidenhead. That boosted capacity for IP transit, DDoS protection, colocation, and VPS. We also rolled out VPS locations in Stockholm and Frankfurt, they have been brilliant for players and projects in those regions.
Game servers were just as busy. We kicked the year off with Sons of the Forest, then kept pace with big updates like Minecraft 1.20, 7 Days to Die (Experimental A21), and Satisfactory Experimental Update 8. We also launched Gaming VPS for people who want more control or run multiple servers, bots, and community tools. NVMe and high-clock CPUs make a real difference when tick rates matter.
