Craft to Exile 2 - Modpack Review

Posted on 19th Nov 2025

In today's blog, we'll be reviewing the modpack Craft to Exile 2, a modpack at about two million total downloads. This modpack promises an ARPG style of gameplay, inspired by the popular game Path of Exile.

The modpack plays very well, having a strong sense of progression and satisfying build combinations. The mod that allows such thorough systems - Mine and Slash - was also made by the modpack author, which means that the mod was designed around the progression and functionality of this pack. The system features abilities and skill trees, the primary of which is ridiculously large!

The classes system, while difficult to learn, is very satisfying to master when you finally make the build you've been theorising about shine. There are many different types of classes for different playstyles. From those who love magic to those who want to simply use their bare hands, there's a build type for pretty much every kind of player. If you're feeling brave, the modpack allows you to pick two classes at once, so you can mix and match the abilities of two!

Overwhelmed by what to do in modpacks? Not to worry, the quest book has a very straightforward Act system, which has a primary quest path alongside objectives that may be to your liking. The side objectives frequently give more talent points, which can be used to further power up your build. We recommend clearing out an act entirely before moving to the next one, just so you have the maximum power possible!

While the modpack is primarily about the RPG elements, it does feature other mods for your convenience. Some being Refined Storage, Botania, and Cooking for Blockheads! These play a pivotal role in increasing your power passively, as eating a variety of foods will give you various long-lasting buffs. Botania equipment can be used for some extra passive bonuses as well. One thing to note is that simple Refined Storage systems don't use any power, so you have nothing to worry about that.

There's many more intricate and complex systems, like gear crafting and dungeon maps, but we recommend you grab some friends and check out the pack yourself. We offer this modpack in our 1-click modpack installer, so if this interests you at all, then buy a server with us and try it out! Check out our Minecraft Server Hosting plans to get started.

Our service is straightforward, and it only takes a few clicks once your server is purchased to get your server up and running! If you don't like certain mods or settings, you have full control over changing or removing them as you please, or even changing the modpack after purchase!
